Where we go and what we do there is completely up to us. Though, an issue may arise in transportation of our gear, be it in cargo space, atop the roof or off the rear end. Traveling with gear not stowed or secured properly may create a mess. Therefore, it's best to ensure all gear will transport smoothly, without presenting hazards.

This is done in simple steps. Before heading off, inspect resting or stow spaces on external racks. Make sure all is tight and nothing is loose in terms of components. When your gear is attached, again inspect for secure fitting and proper tie-downs. Should you be using the interior cargo area, everything should have its own dedicated space with all items snug and flush. Whence you set off, if on a long drive, make a safe stop to confirm outside gear is still secure and tied down.
